The Mother & Child Project | Compiled By Hope Through Healing Hands | BookLook Review

Nearly 300,000 women and children die around the world today from complications due to pregnancy and childbirth; living in a developed country however those numbers are drastically less. The Mother & Child Project is a book compiled of over 40 essays written from very well known people from celebrities, to doctors, to speakers on their thoughts on how it’s impacting the world and what we should do about it. The book is compiled by Hope through Healing Hands, a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote quality of life to for citizens and communities around the world using health as a currency for peace. The book is a great tool to use for group conversations, mission groups, churches, and for educational purposes in high school or college settings; I feel it’s very well written with a wide amount of knowledge that can be useful on many levels within this one topic. Overall I would suggest this book for anyone who is wanting to focus on poverty stricken areas around the world with a big focus on the health and well being of women and children in those areas.
