Books We've Been Loving

I have a preschooler at home with me still during the day while the his sibs are at school; finding things for him to do is pretty easy and we tend to read a lot, like more than I think I did when I was a kid myself; we have a huge collection of kids books that either we've purchased, reviewed, or that my mom sends the kids so we tend to fuel the love of reading in our home. Here is what we have been reading a lot these days...

  1. Let It Fall by Maryann Cocca-Leffler; this book celebrates the season of Fall for kids
  2. Corduroy Collection by Don Freeman {this book is not available any longer however you can purchase the titles that are in the collection separately}; this is a collection of the following books by Don Freeman: Corduroy, Chuggy the Blue Caboose, Pet of the Met, Beady Bear, Mop Top, Fly High Fly Low, Norman the Doorman, Dandelion, Tilly Witch, Flash the Dash, and Gayelord
  3. Harper Collins Treasury of Picture Book Classics: A Child's First Collection by Tegen Katherine; this book contains the following stories: Goodnight Moon, Caps for Sale, Harold and the Purple Crayon, Crictor, A Baby Sister for Frances, Leo the Late Bloomer, William's Doll, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, George Shrinks, Baby Says, From Head to Toe, Pete's a Pizza
  4. The World of Christopher Robin by A.A. Milne; this book contains the following: Complete Winnie The Pooh, House at Pooh Corner, When We Were Very Young, and Now We Are Six
  5. Nursery Rhyme Comics by Various Authors; this book contains 50 Nursery Rhymes written in comic book form
  6. Fairy Tale Comics by Various Authors; this book contains 17 fairy tales written in comic book form
  7. The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein; this book tells the story of how a tree and boy help each other of their lives
  8. Your Favorite Seuss by Dr. Seuss; this book contains 13 stories by Dr. Seuss: And to think that I saw it on Mulberry Street, McElligot's Pool, If I Ran the Zoo, Horton Hears a Who!, The Cat in the Hat, How The Grinch Stole Christmas!, Yertle the Turtle, Happy Birthday to You!, Green Eggs and Ham, The Sneetches, Dr. Seuss's Sleep Book, The Lorax, and Oh, The Places You'll Go!
  9. Make Way for McCloskey by Robert McCloskey; this book contains the following stories: Make Way for Ducklings, Blueberries for Sal, The Doughnuts from Homer Price, Burt Dow-Deep Water Man, Lentil, Ever So Much More From Centerberg Tales, Time to Wonder, and One Morning in Maine
  10. Beatrix Potter the Complete Tales by Beatrix Potter; this books contains 23 of her Original Works plus 4 of her Other Works
There are lots of books within the collections and honestly if you can buy the collections I would highly suggest it because it saves some space on your shelves and you can still have quite a few books for your little ones to read with you.
